Les Bois is a local chapter of Toastmasters International that meets each week to help members learn the art of public speaking in a friendly and fun environment. Members learn by practicing and receiving constructive evaluations allowing individuals to become better speakers, better listeners, and better leaders. You will discover your potential and gain the confidence necessary to succeed at whatever you desire.

How To Become a Member

Membership in Les Bois Toastmasters is open to anyone 18 and up (it’s never too late). There is a one-time new member fee of $20 for your materials. Membership is prorated at $4.50 per month. Dues are payable every 6 months ($27) plus a small local club fee ($5). Members are encouraged to attend as regular as possible. The more you attend, the more you benefit!

Our club has a friendly and dynamic membership, with all members striving to become stonger leaders and better public speakers.

If you're wondering what Toastmasters is about, this website is a great place to start. But the best way is to visit a club meeting. Guests are always welcome, so come by and pay us a visit.

DO GUESTS HAVE TO SPEAK?

Be honest; that is the biggest barrier that is keeping you from visiting a Toastmasters club. We will be honest, too. You will have to speak; however, the only speaking requirements you will have will be to return greetings that many of our fellow members will offer to you and to let us know your name so we know what to add behind the word "welcome".

That's it! We would love to have you as a guest and to provide you an opportunity to see what our club is all about. So please take a single Tuesday lunch hour and come have lunch with us.

Here's how:

Watch and listen to the meeting. We will provide you with a guest packet that will help you learn more about Toastmasters. After you have seen one meeting, we are positive you will be intrigued by the opportunities Toastmasters will provide.

Ask questions from any member. Keep in mind that we are all in the same boat as yourself and we are here to help each other. Do not be afraid to ask questions; it helps us practice our Toastmasters skills.

We meet at Boise City Hall (first floor - Foothills Training Room) each Tuesday from 12:05 PM to 1:00 PM - only 1 hour! The meetings are fast paced and always start and end on time.
